VIMFF Film Festival Awards and screening

Krzysztof Wielicki, world-class mountaineer, and stories from first ascents in the Himalayas, and beyond.

Acclaimed alpinist, Simon Yates, and his presentation The Good, the Bad, and the Beautiful.

The Evening:

1. Awards presentation for the winning festival films including: 'Best Overall Film', and select screenings

2. Polish mountaineering legend, Wielicki, will share his stories from his decades spent at the frontier of Himalayan climbing. From the first winter ascent of Everest, to winter attempts on K2, Wielicki is a master of The Art of Suffering (so you don't have to).

3. In his VIMFF lecture and slide presentation The Good, the Bad and the Beautiful Simon will take a humorous and philosophical look at some of the more notable experiences over his years as a mountaineer, accompanied by a stunning selection of slides collected during his travels.

4. Door Prizes and Raffles including a 2-week Expedition in Pakistan, Norco Mountain Bike, and gear from Arcteryx, Heli-Hansen, Serratus, and MEC
