Over the past decade, Sandy Patch has worked in the film industry as an editor, colorist, engineer and post consultant.
Originally from Maryland, Sandy started his career working on independent films in New York. In 2003, he edited the short documentary Delicacy of Despair, which follows an undercover investigation of the largest foie gras farms in the United States. The documentary and following campaign led to legislation banning the production and sale of foie gras in California. In 2005, Sandy edited the award-winning feature length documentary Anytown, USA, which travelled the country in film festivals and culminated in a theatrical release.
Sandy then worked at Company 3 in Santa Monica, CA, where he headed the company’s digital lab, wrote all of the department’s custom software and developed 3D workflows for Pirates of the Caribbean, Transformers and Fright Night.
Sandy is currently a colorist at Final Frame Post, a boutique post-production house in Manhattan that specializes in independent film.
