WOMEN ROCK TONIGHT FEB 16 AT DENMAN CINEMAS

Join us tonight for an eclectic mix of wild Canadian female climbers Margo Talbot, Tami Knight, Vikki and Stacey Weldon, each one bringing live stories from their climbing adventures.

Margo Talbot will be asking questions about why do certain people thrive on risk, while others remain content surfing channels on their flat screen TV. What compels people to actively seek out challenges when they could just kick back and crack open the next six pack? Based on her newly-released book, All That Glitters, Margo’s presentation explores the hidden drives that compel us to push into the unknown in the quest for personal transformation and social evolution.

Cartoonist Tami Knight will come with a retrospective of her 30 years of being in the cartoon "business". Starting in 1981 with Hamish Gets the Milk, and spanning three decades of books and magazines, Tami still uses pens to draw the foibles and sillyness of the climbing community.

Join sisters, Stacey and Vikki Weldon, as they recollect growing up in the world of climbing. Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, the sisters share their stories of sibling squabbles, competition highs and lows, and their discovery that climbing really doesn’t need to be taken too seriously.
