Dave Mossop and Eric Crosland
Directors Dave Mossop and Eric Crosland met in High-School in the 90's and have been working together on films ever since. At that time they lost 4 very close friends to an avalanche at Fortress mountain, Alberta, and this event proved very influential. Mossop and Crosland learned to appreciate the fragility of life and have strove to live everyday to the fullest. Their film company "Sherpas Cinema" was built from the ground up. They cut their teeth with short films that toured Worldwide with the Banff Mountain Film Festival. Crosland attended Capilano Film School and worked for various other film companies such as Freeride Entertainment and The Ride Guide TV show. Mossop graduated with distinction from the film program at UVic.
It had been a dream of theirs to produce a truly effective avalanche education film for youth, and that dream came true with the release of "The Fine Line" in 2009, now widely regarded as the best avalanche film in the World. "The Sherpas" have now developed a reputation for state-of-the-art cinematography, creative story-telling, and powerful theme. Their award-winning new feature "All.I.Can" is taking the world by storm, hitting #1 on iTunes sales charts, and changing forever the way people think of ski-films.
