Jerzy Kukuczka was one of the most outstanding Himalayan climbers in history, the second climber to ascend all 14 eight-thousanders. A legend, he lost his life in the Himalayas 22 years ago. Why was he exceptional? What was his contribution to the history of climbing? What do his family and other high altitude climbers think about him? What were and what are the reasons to climb in high altitudes? Can Kukuczka be a paragon for other climbers today? Mountains - a realm of adventure or an area of commerce?
