Northern Pakistan, June 2011. Thomas de Dorlodot, Horacio Llorens and Hernan Pitocco arrived in the Karakoram mountain range with the objective to break records. Here is their journey.
Along the legendary Karakoram Highway in northern Pakistan, Thomas de Dorlodot, Horacio Llorens and Hernan Pitocco forge their way with the aim of setting new distance and altitude records. This film retraces the daily trials and preparation for this adventure by these pilots in a little known part of the world, but most of all reveals the deep down motivations they harbor.


Director, Olivier Boonjing
Olivier is an experienced commercial, music video, narrative and documentary director and cinematographer. Based in Brussels, Belgium, he shot more than 200 projects, traveling to countries like Chile, United States, Pakistan, Cambodia, Japan,… Released in 2009, his first narrative feature titled “Somewhere Between Here and Now” was screened at festivals around the world and earned 7 awards. “Karakoram Highway” is his first adventure documentary.
