Ready To Fly is a film about leadership and sacrifice, pluck and determination. A true story about refusing to accept second-class status, we follow 2009 World Champion Lindsey Van and her teammates as they fight to make their Olympic dreams come true.
Since childhood, as a wide-eyed 7-year-old ski jumper with a dream of Olympic flight, Lindsey Van, of Park City, Utah, has been an outsider in a man’s world. Thrust into a fight that’s far bigger than her dreams, larger than ski jumping or even sport, Lindsey and her ad hoc women’s ski jumping family battle entrenched attitudes and seemingly omnipotent gatekeepers to prove that women deserve to compete at the highest level: in the Winter Olympics.
This powerful true story tells a tale of sacrifice and determination, of pluck and tragedy, as a very special group of unlikely heroes triumphs over massive obstacles to achieve a dream and change the world for other women in the process.

Director, William A. Kerig
William A. Kerig is an award-winning writer, producer, director, and former professional skier. He wrote the book, THE EDGE OF NEVER, and was the writer/director/executive producer of the Showtime Networks 2009 documentary feature film THE EDGE OF NEVER. He co-produced and was second-unit director of the 2007 Sony Pictures Classics film STEEP. In addition to producing for CBS, ABC, and Fox Sports, he coproduced, wrote, and was second-unit director of NET WORTH, a 1999 Blockbuster Entertainment feature film starring Daniel Baldwin. He is a member of the Director’s Guild of America.
