A British couple are trying to become the first people to sea kayak 1,000 miles around the remote & windswept island of ‘Tierra del Fuego’ at the end of the world. Shipping delays, a stolen kayak & endless red tape challenge them on land while incessant winds, rough seas & tendonitis threaten their safety & success on the water. Glaciers tumble into the sea in this wild & beautiful landscape where sea lions, whales & albatrosses far outnumber people. Justine is an award winning adventure filmmaker and expedition seakayaker, whos programmes have aired on the National Geographic Channel and the BBC. She runs Cackle TV and created the highly acclaimed "This is the Sea" series of sea kayaking DVDs. Her films have won over a dozen prestigious prizes including best 'mountain sport' film at Banff Mountain Film Festival. Previously a competitive sportswoman & TV journalist, Justine has been on challenging expeditions around the globe, including circumnavigating the south island of New Zealand, Tasmania and the Queen Charlotte islands, a solo trip around Iceland's West Fjords, a crossing of the Bass Strait and a wilderness journey in Kamchatka with a novice Russian kayaker.
